    注意事項

    not only... but also 表示“不僅……而且……”謂語動詞的形式采取就近原則，例如：not only you but also he is...；尤其需要注意的是，當(dāng)not only 位于句首時，句子要用部分倒裝。not only后的句子要用半倒裝，而but also 后的部分不需要倒裝。

    17 pets bring us a lot of fun.

    寵物給我們帶來了許多快樂。

    類似表達(dá) pets bring pleasure to us. / pets give a lot of fun to us.

    18 do you think it is worth paying much for a pet?

    你認(rèn)為花大價錢買一只寵物值得嗎？

    注意事項

    be worth 后面跟動詞-ing 形式，表示“值得做某事”。當(dāng)后面跟名詞或代詞時，表示“值……”，沒有be worth to do 結(jié)構(gòu)。

    19 in some big cities, the host must apply for a lise before he keeps a dog.

    在一些大城市，主人養(yǎng)狗前必須申請許可證。

    語法提要

    before 為連詞，指時間時，意思是“在……以前”，before作介詞時后面如果加動詞要用動名詞。
